Allen & Overy is pleased to announce the appointment of Guillaume Isautier on April 3rd as a partner in its Corporate practice in Paris.

Guillaume will join A&O from Shearman & Sterling, where he has been a partner since 2011 and led the Paris M&A team between 2016 and 2022. He qualified over 22 years ago, and is widely recognised for his technical expertise and extensive experience in advising on both public and private M&A and private equity funds, and is considered to be a leading corporate partner in France.

Global law firm Reed Smith announced that Lara Treinis Gatz, a former federal prosecutor with the Department of Justice (DOJ), has joined the firm as a partner, adding firepower to its Global Regulatory Enforcement practice group. Gatz, who prior to joining Reed Smith served as federal prosecutor in both the Southern District of Florida and the Eastern District of New York, has considerable litigation experience both directing and managing teams of trial attorneys and investigators in a variety of important matters.

Further establishing itself as a destination for premier legal talent, Paul Hastings LLP announced that widely recognized international arbitration lawyer Garreth Wong has joined the firm as a partner in its London office. He will serve as the firm’s global co-chair of international arbitration.

Jamie Evans joins Orrick from Fenwick & West, where he co-chaired the Capital Markets & Public Companies Group.

Over the course of his 20-year career, he has advised on some of the highest-profile technology public offerings in history.

Jamie joins an Orrick tech practice that is counsel to over 4,000 emerging growth companies, including over 700 new companies added in 2022, as well as many leading public tech companies.

Matt Heyworth joins from BDB Pitmans, Reading, and is a leading family lawyer who specialises in complex cases involving business interests, trusts, foreign assets and property portfolios. His arrival coincides with principal associate, Claire Burton and associate, Kerry Haugh, also from BDB Pitmans.

DLA Piper is expanding the depth and breadth of its Intellectual Property & Technology practice group with the addition of a top-tier patent team that includes partners Peter Yim, Christopher Eide, Brian Ho, Randy Omid, Michael Swett and Parker Kuhl. They are joined by 24 attorneys and six agents and technical advisors and will be based primarily in the firm’s San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Seattle offices.
