For the past 24 years, Torill has been a partner in the tax department of Deloitte Advokatfirma, where she has assisted a number of the country's largest, both private and public enterprises, with tax and company law issues, including in connection with reorganizations and transactions of all kinds. Torill also has extensive experience in real estate and has regularly assisted a number of the country's largest property developers with the structuring of property projects.

His practice is focused on German and cross-border leveraged and corporate finance transactions. He regularly acts for lenders and sponsors on complex financings and has advised clients such as BlackRock, Sixth Street, HPS, Apollo, Attestor, Oakley Capital and Genui on a large number of transactions. In addition, his practice encompasses credit restructurings.

Tech and data partner Wendell Bartnick returns to Reed Smith

Reed Smith welcomed the return of technology and data partner Wendell J. Bartnick, who joins the firm’s global Life Sciences Health Industry Group (LSHI) residing in the firm’s Houston office. Michael arrives from global firm PwC where he advised on the full range of M&A and capital raising transactions for international and domestic clients. He brings strong relationships with private equity, venture capital and early stage companies across multiple industries, including technology. Prior to PwC he worked at international law firms Baker & McKenzie and King & Wood Mallesons.
