PARTNER MOVES - Littler expands San Diego office with addition of two skilled employment attorneys

Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Merrili Escue as a shareholder and Nancy Kawano as senior counsel in its San Diego office. Escue, who was an attorney with Littler early in her career from 1996 to 2001, brings more than 20 years of experience in employment law, while Kawano has had a 30-year career as a transactional employment lawyer. They join Littler from Ricketts Case LLP.

Global law firm DLA Piper has appointed Saba Al Sultani as a Partner in its Intellectual Property and Technology group, based in Dubai.

Saba joins DLA Piper from Cedar White Bradley (CWB), where she was a Partner and Head of Trade Marks since 2018, having previously worked at Clyde & Co in Dubai for over seven years. Her appointment further strengthens the firm’s international IP ranks, adding to its growing footprint in the MENA region.

Global, sector-focused law firm HFW has continued its growth trajectory in Australia with the hire of leading shipping lawyer, Ashwin Nair.

Ashwin specialises in shipping, admiralty and marine insurance, acting for shipowners and charterers and their P&I Clubs and other insurers of marine risks, with a particular interest in the offshore energy and commercial fishing industries. He joins HFW's Perth office from maritime boutique Cocks Macnish, and previously spent three years as a Claims Executive at The Shipowners' Club based in their Singapore office.
