Katten Muchin Rosenman UK LLP has announced the appointment of partner Sonya Van de Graaff to the firm's growing Insolvency and Restructuring practice in London.

She joins Katten from Avonhurst, where she was a partner. Previously, Van de Graaff spent a number of years as a partner at Morrison & Foerster (London) and, in the years leading up to the global financial crisis of 2008, she was a managing director at investment banking giant Bear Stearns where she focused on a broad range of business areas, including special situations investments and structured products.

Winston & Strawn LLP announced the addition of Thomas R. Millar as a partner in the Washington, D.C., office. Tom will be joining the firm as a member of the Corporate practice with a special focus in the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure industry group.

Continuing its expansion in Texas, O’Melveny announced that it will open an office in Houston—its third new office in the state in just ten months. The office will be anchored by three transactional partners—Angela Olivarez, Steven V. Torello, and Ryan Cicero—who join the firm from Willkie Farr & Gallagher’s Houston office, and partner Monica Hwang, who joined O’Melveny in November.
