PARTNER MOVES - Reed Smith adds acclaimed international arbitration and litigation partners in Miami

Reed Smith announced that it has made significant additions to its international arbitration and cross-border litigation capabilities with the appointment of Francisco A. Rodriguez and Sandra J. Millor as partners in the firm’s Global Commercial Disputes practice in Miami. Rodriguez and Millor, both of whom join from Akerman, also bring depth and experience to the firm’s Latin America practice. The two new partners will be joined by foreign legal consultant Gilberto Guerrero-Rocca, who has extensive experience on international commercial arbitration and investor-state arbitration.

PARTNER MOVES - Orrick adds tech litigation talent to Santa Monica office

Ben Au has joined the firm as a tech litigation partner in our Santa Monica office.

He is an experienced trial lawyer with a strong record of litigating commercial claims for technology companies at all stages, from representing founders and startups to S&P 500-listed companies.

He joins from Durie Tangri, where he was a partner and previously practiced with Clem Roberts, head of Orrick’s IP litigation practice.

He is the second addition to the SM office this year, following Caroline Cherkassky, a corporate advisor to the tech sector.

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has appointed banking and finance specialist, Richard Jadot as a partner in France.

Richard has considerable experience in banking and finance and advises banks, funds and companies on the negotiation of credit facilities and the implementation of security packages in France and globally. He also advises his clients on debt restructurings in the context of pre-insolvency and insolvency proceedings. 

PARTNER MOVES - DLA piper hires tax partner Declan Lavelle in Ireland

DLA Piper has announced the appointment of Declan Lavelle as a partner in the firm's Tax practice in Ireland. He will be joining the firm in July from William Fry where he has been a partner since 2019, focusing on Corporate and International Tax matters.

Declan has experience advising multinational and domestic clients on a variety of International Tax structuring matters and is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor. He also has extensive experience in the Life Sciences, Technology, Real Estate and Financial Services sectors.
