Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has appointed standout competition practitioner Miranda Cole as a senior partner in its Brussels antitrust and competition team.

Miranda joins from Covington & Burling, in Brussels, where she was a senior partner with a broad competition practice focussed on the technology and life sciences sectors.

Norton Rose Fulbright will be the first major law firm to base itself in Chicago's vibrant Fulton Market District. International law firm Clifford Chance expands its German employment law practice led by partner Ines Keitel with the lateral partner hire of Sebastian Ritz.

Sebastian Ritz will join the firm early in the new financial year starting in May, with the exact date to be determined shortly. Sebastian will be based in the firm's Düsseldorf office, further strengthening the international employment law team at Clifford Chance with his specialist expertise and market experience. Two associates from his previous team will join him.

Womble Bond Dickinson has grown its restructuring and insolvency team with the appointment of Kelly Jordan.

Joining the firm’s Newcastle office, Kelly brings with her 20 years of legal experience, with particular expertise in restructuring and insolvency.

Prior to her new role, Kelly was a partner at Muckle LLP, where she gave advice in all aspects of restructuring and insolvency matters, specialising in non-contentious advisory and transactional work to insolvency professionals, directors of distressed businesses, trustees of charities, landlords and other creditors.

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced the appointment of its first global head of ESG, Sonali Siriwardena. Sonali will join Simmons on 20 April and be based in the firm’s London office.
