Shoosmiths has further boosted its corporate credentials with the recruitment of two new partners in its corporate restructuring and M&A teams.

Lemi McAuley, who will be based in Leeds, is a specialist in board advisory and transactional matters and has acted for a number of corporate clients, clearing banks, private equity providers and insolvency practitioners. His appointment means Shoosmiths now has corporate restructuring partners in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.

International law firm Ashurst is bolstering its international equity capital markets/US securities and M&A practices with the appointment of Melody He-Chen as a partner in Hong Kong.

J. Tyson “Ty” Covey has joined Duane Morris LLP as a partner in the firm’s Trial Practice Group in its Chicago office. Prior to joining Duane Morris, Covey was a partner at Mayer Brown LLP.

Taylor Wessing announces the appointment of Helen Farr as partner in its employment team.

Helen has joined the firm from Fox Williams. Prior to this, Helen spent thirteen years at Pinsent Masons.

She has considerable expertise in a number of areas including financial and professional services, private equity and FinTech. She focuses largely on strategic matters such as workplace discrimination of a sensitive nature, equal pay, team moves, boardroom disputes and employment cases involving financial services regulatory issues.

DLA Piper announced that Ronald N. Brown, III has joined the firm’s Litigation practice as a partner in the Wilmington office.
