PARTNER MOVES - DLA Piper hires public law partner in France

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Jérôme Pentecoste will be joining the firm as a partner in the Litigation & Regulatory practice in Paris.

Jérôme has over 27 years' experience and joins the firm from Gowling WLG. He specialises in public-private partnerships (PPP), public business law, financing and administrative litigation, and he has assisted public bodies in a number of major PPP contracts and regularly intervenes on issues of execution or early termination of public contracts for public clients, including litigation.

PARTNER MOVES - TLT expands disputes team following Insolvency Service appointment

Following TLT's appointment to the Insolvency Service's £16m legal panel, the firm has announced the appointment of Claire Graham, leading insolvency and disputes lawyer, as partner in its growing Manchester office.

Claire, who joins from DWF, will jointly manage the Insolvency Service panel relationship with former colleague and past President of Manchester Law Society Jon Hainey, who moved to TLT as partner from DWF in May 2018.

Less than two weeks after announcing that it has opened an office in Dallas with a group of 16 lawyers, including eight partners, Reed Smith today announced that it has added its ninth partner to this burgeoning office. Jorge Gutierrez has joined the firm as a partner in its Energy & Natural Resources practice, bringing to the Reed Smith an esteemed practice in exploration and production (E&P), midstream, and energy finance. Gutierrez was previously a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright.

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP continued its strategic expansion in California with the addition of intellectual property litigator Xavier Marc Brandwajn to the Silicon Valley office. Brandwajn represents Silicon Valley and international clients in high-stakes patent disputes and other intellectual property matters in federal and state courts, before the International Trade Commission (ITC), and in arbitration. He joins the firm from Alston & Bird, where he was a partner.

Silke is joining from DLA Piper, where she has been a partner since 2010.
