Littler, the world’s largest employment and labour law practice representing management, has opened an office in Zurich, Switzerland. The office will be led by Dr. Ueli Sommer, who joined the firm as a partner, and will operate under the name Littler | LEL Lawyers.

The expansion into Switzerland follows the opening of a new office in Denmark last month and brings Littler’s total European presence to 29 offices in 14 countries. Littler’s global platform now consists of more than 1,700 attorneys practicing across over 100 offices and 28 countries.

Anderson joins the firm’s global litigation team from Keker, Van Nest & Peters, bringing extensive trial experience representing companies in intellectual property disputes across a wide range of industries and technologies.

Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP is pleased to announce that Tim Becker and Wells Miller have joined the firm in Boston as partners in its tax practice. Becker, a former Akin Gump tax partner who rejoined the firm on September 6, 2022, and Miller add deep experience advising funds clients on a wide range of issues. Becker and Miller come to the firm from Boston-based Choate Hall & Stewart LLP.

Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP announced the addition of Larissa Marcellino as a partner based in the New York office and member of the Private Equity Practice Group.  She is part of the Asset Management Department and Corporate & Financial Services Department. She previously served as General Counsel of Aquiline Capital Partners, a New York and London-based private investment firm and longtime Willkie client.

Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP announced that Misty Sanford, Karen Lorang and Aimee Contreras-Camua have joined the Firm as partners in the Real Estate Department. They are based in Los Angeles, and Misty will serve as Chair, Real Estate – West Coast. Collectively they bring more than four decades of experience and a deep understanding of the full lifecycle of real estate matters. With the team’s arrival, Willkie’s Real Estate Department has over 50 lawyers nationwide, led by 12 partners, eight of whom are women. 

David Wilhelm has rejoined Locke Lord’s Energy and Infrastructure Practice Group as a Partner in the Firm’s Houston office.

Wilhelm most recently served as Vice President, Business Development for Navitas Midstream Partners. Previously, he was Assistant General Counsel for Kinder Morgan. Earlier in his career, Wilhelm was an Associate with Locke Lord.

Cooley has strengthened its growing business restructuring & reorganization practice group with the addition of Eric Walker as a partner in the firm’s global litigation department. Walker arrives from Perkins Coie, where he served as a partner in the bankruptcy & restructuring and business litigation practice groups. He is widely recognized for his strategic savvy, working across all aspects of corporate restructuring and financial litigation, including representing companies and creditor committees in highly regulated industries.
