Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has hired financial services partner José Millán into its Madrid office.

José will lead the ’s financial services capabilities in Madrid, working alongside the firm’s multinational financial services teams. His appointment comes a few months after Pinsent Masons opened its new office in Luxembourg, with an initial focus on the Financial Services sector which will reinforce the firm’s international capabilities for clients in that sector.

DLA Piper has this week appointed Kate Binedell as partner to its Corporate practice. She joins from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner where she was made a partner in its Investment Management team in 2010.

Allen & Overy has announced the hire of Francesca Petronio as partner in the Litigation practice in Italy. This appointment is part of the firm’s growth strategy and strengthens the practice’s commercial litigation offering both in Italy and internationally.

Francesca joins from law firm, Delfino Willkie Farr & Gallagher. Previously, she was partner and head of the litigation team at Paul Hastings in Italy for 15 years.
