National law firm Irwin Mitchell is expanding its Planning and Environment team with the recruitment of Pamela Chesterman as a new partner.

The appointment takes Irwin Mitchell’s specialist Planning and Environment (P&E) team to thirteen. The team has this year been boosted by the recruitment of Jill Crawford, Senior Associate and environmental specialist in February, which was hot on the heels of Tracy Lovejoy joining as a planning senior associate in Birmingham and Victoria Tague as a planning associate in Manchester.

Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, announces that Erin E. Shick has joined the Firm’s Pensions, Benefits and Executive Compensation practice as partner in the Cincinnati office.

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer announced that Allison R. Liff has joined the firm’s US leveraged finance practice as a partner based in New York.

Ms. Liff’s practice focuses on the representation of private equity firms and their portfolio companies, as well as corporate clients, across the globe in a wide variety of complex domestic and cross-border debt financing transactions, including acquisition financings, recapitalizations, asset-based lending, liability management transactions and restructurings, and ongoing strategic advice.

Katten announced that Sarah Eichenberger, former in-house counsel at Amazon.com, has joined the firm's Securities Litigation practice as a partner in New York.

Morgan Lewis has added Austin Lilling, who most recently led the executive compensation and transactional employee benefits plans practices at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, as a partner in the New York office. Austin will continue providing comprehensive counseling to management teams and employers regarding their benefits and compensation arrangements and transactional matters.

King & Spalding announced that international technology transactions lawyer Damien Bailey has joined the firm’s Corporate, Finance and Investments (CFI) practice group as a partner. Bailey is resident in Sydney, Australia, and will spend significant time in the firm’s Middle East, Singapore and Tokyo offices. 

Global law firm Reed Smith announced that former federal banking regulator J.H. Jennifer ‘Jenny’ Lee has joined the firm as a San Francisco-based partner in its Financial Industry Group. Lee joins from ArentFox Schiff.

Kirkland & Ellis announced that leading infrastructure transactions lawyer Toby Parkinson will join the Firm as a partner in its London office to co-lead the Firm’s expansion in the European energy and infrastructure sector. Mr. Parkinson is recognized as a leading M&A attorney for complex infrastructure, energy and renewables transactions.

Dechert LLP has announced that Matthias Kerbusch has joined the firm’s financial services group as a partner in Luxembourg.

Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie announced that Shusmita Chowdhury, a skilled fund formation lawyer, has rejoined the Firm as a Partner in New York.
